For Global Travelers
Alternative Orientation Access for Associate Travelers
As an Associate Traveler supporting students abroad, you must complete and be certified in Title IX Responsible Employee Training, VAWA Training, The Clery Act – CSA Training, and the International Risk and Security Orientation Training – IRSO. (Training and orientation registration processes can be found at the bottom of this page.)
You have been directed to this page because you are not certified and indicated that you cannot register and complete the required trainings through GEMS. This is not a problem, and we have alternative access methods for you!
I CAN ACCESS GEMS, HOWEVER…
I cannot attend a scheduled Face to Face Training for Title IX - VAWA or IRSO
If you cannot attend a training because GEMS says it is waitlisted, we can often find a space for you. Please contact the International Risk and Security Team at GlobalTravel@usf.edu to request a schedule of upcoming trainings or a VIP placement in a face to face training.
If you cannot attend a face to face training because there are no sessions that fit your schedule, we have an online version in CANVAS that you can take. Contact the International Risk and Security Team at GlobalTravel@usf.edu to request a the URL for the training you need.
I CANNOT ACCESS GEMS
I cannot access an online CANVAS training or reserve a face to face training because I do not have access to GEMS.
This is usually because you are a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ student who has not been employed by Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬. Contact the International Risk and Security Team at GlobalTravel@usf.edu to request a VIP placement in a face to face training or to receive a URL to self-enroll in the CANVAS course that you need.
I cannot access an online CANVAS training or cannot reserve a face to face training because I do not have a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ NetID.
This is usually because you are not a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ student, or not a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ employee and only have a non-Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ email address. This is not a problem. We have versions of all trainings accessible with your non-Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ email address. We can also provide a schedule of trainings for you and register you ourselves. Contact the International Risk and Security Team at GlobalTravel@usf.edu to request a VIP placement in a face to face training or to receive a URL to self-enroll in the CANVAS course that you need.
If you have any questions or trouble following any links, please contact the International
