Mission

We will establish the Student Government as a model for professionalism and excellence, measured by the students at the university; assuming responsibility for the financial, social and cultural vitality and health and well-being of the students and local community.

VISION

We will provide effective student representation before all vested bodies of influence, for the purpose of giving guidance and stewardship concerning the allocation and expenditure of our student finances to serve in the best interest of our student body, and to provide ourselves with the highest caliber of enriching and educational activities and service.

VALUES

Integrity: We are professional and honest in how we work. We value all individuals for their diverse backgrounds, experiences, styles, approaches and ideas. We strive for objectivity in our decision making and in our treatment of one another. We hold ourselves accountable to the highest ethical standards. We sustain a community of trust.

Commitment: We are committed to the best interest of the student. We are in it 100 percent for better or for worse. We possess positive emotional attachment to the organization. Our commitment has strength in the feeling of responsibility we have towards the mission of our organization. We are effectively committed to our goals.

Accountability: We are all accountable. We embrace accountability as individuals and as members of student government for our ethical conduct and for compliance with applicable laws and University policies and directives. We keep our promises and commitments made to ourselves and to each other. We take personal accountability for our actions and results. We accept our mistakes and learn from them.

Passion: We are committed in heart and mind. We demonstrate confidence and pride in what we do. We have a boundless enthusiasm for creating and maintaining a warm and welcoming environment. We are not afraid to extend the boundaries of creativeness, adeptness and curiosity. We go all-out to promote a positive, energizing, optimistic and fun environment. We value, promote and make every effort to protect our reputation.
