Conduct

Overview

All referrals should be made to Student Conduct and Ethical Development within a reasonable time following the discovery of the alleged violation and no later than six months after the discovery, except in extraordinary cases. A referral may be initiated by a student, faculty member, University Police personnel, staff member, office personnel, or interested party to the University of South Florida. The Conduct Officer may request information concerning prior misconduct of the student from the University Police and other appropriate persons or offices.

A written correspondence to a student, which states that a referral has been made and informs the student of an opportunity for a meeting will be sent to the student's University E-mail. If the student chooses not to attend, the Conduct Officer reserves the right to have an In Absentia Review, at which point a disposition letter will be sent to a student.
