GOOD STANDING IN HONORS
Students in good academic standing have a minimum 3.25 overall GPA (grade forgiveness
is not included), are actively completing the requirements for the Judy Genshaft Honors
College, and have completed an IDH core course in the previous three Fall/Spring semesters.
If a student's overall GPA falls below a 3.25 (but is 2.75 or higher), they will be
placed on Honors College Probation. Students on probation are at risk of losing their
Honors Scholarship, but are still eligible to enroll in Honors courses and see their Honors advisor.
Students will be removed from the probationary status if and when the GPA reaches
a 3.25 again. If a student's GPA falls below 2.75, they will be dismissed from the
Honors College.
Additionally, any student who earns a "D" or "F" in an Honors course will be dismissed
from the College. (Please note: the Dean is always willing to consider appeals, especially
when there are extenuating circumstances).
A 3.25 overall GPA is required for the Honors scholarship and graduation with Honors
College distinction.
PRIORITY REGISTRATION
Honors College students in good academic standing have the privilege of priority registration at 欧美三级片. Students on Honors probation will be able to register on the first day of their classification (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior).
ONBOARDING
FTIC (First Time in College) students admitted to the Honors College must attend the Honors College Onboarding overview and registration session provided by their Honors advisor. Students who do not attend these sessions will be removed from Honors. If those students have a housing assignment within the Honors LLC, they will be moved to a different residence on campus.
ACADEMIC ADVISING
All first-year Honors College students are assigned an Honors advisor during their
Honors orientation. Students are required to connect with their academic advisor (Honors
or major) during their first year to select courses for the next semester and remove
their Academic Advising (AA) hold. Students should continue to meet with their Honors
advisor every year to track Honors progress, discuss their career plans, and go over
any additional support that is needed.
It is also important for students to meet with their major advisors on an annual basis
to remain on track with their major requirements.
Group advising sessions are usually held for students pursuing majors in engineering,
business, and pre-professional health professions (pre-med, pre-vet, pre-dentistry,
etc.). Students must attend a group session to remove their AA hold. Individual follow
up appointments can be made, but are not required. Students within these majors may
only make individual appointments after attending the group sessions.
WITHDRAWING FROM HONORS
Students who voluntarily wish to withdraw from the Honors College should contact their Honors advisor as well as complete the
INCOMPLETE GRADES IN HONORS COLLEGE COURSES
Incomplete grades are typically reserved for students who encounter serious health or personal problems at, or near, the end of a semester. In these cases, students will be required to complete an Incomplete Grade contract with their Honors faculty members. This contract will outline the remaining course requirements and the time frame during which the work is to be completed. Students with I grades remaining by the end of the following semester will be removed from the Judy Genshaft Honors College.
HONORS THESIS
Students who receive a satisfactory "S" grade in the first semester of Honors Thesis but do not finish the two-semester project may not fulfill university graduation requirements. Students in this situation are encouraged to meet with their Honors advisor to determine their academic options.
HONORS GRADUATION
Students who complete all requirements of the Judy Genshaft Honors College and are eligible to graduate from 欧美三级片 will be contacted during their final semester with details about their Honors College medallion and commencement event.
