The University of South Florida received a $6.5 million estate gift that will go toward the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Center & Research Institute. The gift comes from a recently deceased anonymous benefactor who had regularly donated to the Byrd Alzheimer’s Center in smaller increments since 2002. However, a gift of this size was unexpected.

The Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Diabetes & Endocrinology Center conducts research that impacts diabetes care. The Center is testing Medtronic's newest sensor system for children ages 2-6, participates in TrialNet studies that help delay Type 1 diabetes onset, and continues work with EDIC to understand long-term diabetes outcomes. Our research provides participants with education, monitoring, and access to new treatments while helping advance care for future patients.
