Professor Emeritus Richard Gitlin awarded IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal
The 2025 IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal for exceptional contributions to communications and networking sciences, often considered the 鈥淣obel Prize鈥 for communications technology, has been awarded to Distinguished University Professor Emeritus Richard D. Two University of South Florida faculty members named NAI fellows
Two University of South Florida faculty members, recognized for their groundbreaking discoveries and innovations in chemical engineering to treat cancer and other challenging diseases and nanomaterials engineering for multifunctional manufacturing applications, are among the 2024 Fellows selected to the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Supported by a $383,172 NSF grant, this project integrates tailored pre-class lessons into key engineering courses, aiming to improve student engagement, motivation, and success. The initiative also generates data-driven insights to refine learning strategies and promote best practices in STEM education.
