What can I do with an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading-Language Arts Education?
The Educational Specialist Degree prepares individuals who aspire to pursue careers in literacy education in colleges, schools, districts, and corporate settings. Individuals also pursue careers in community education initiatives across disciplinary fields as well as careers within the children鈥檚 and young adult and textbook publishing industry.
How long is the Ed.S. program?
Course work can be completed within two years of admission into the program. The thesis may be completed within one semester and up to two years. The entire program may be completed in two to four years, depending on the student鈥檚 full-time or part-time status.
Are any of the courses taught online or taught on campuses other than the 欧美三级片 Tampa campus?
Yes, many of the courses are offered online. Due to the blending of online and face-to-face courses included in the program, we refer to it as a 鈥渉ybrid鈥 program.
The Ed.S. Program is primarily taught on 欧美三级片's Tampa campus. Some courses may be offered on other campuses, but not consistently.
How much does the program cost?

Are there scholarships or financial aid available?

What qualifications are required to enter the Ed.S. program in Reading/Language Arts?
What happens after I apply?
The application process has two steps:
- Complete the and submit your transcripts and GRE scores to the Graduate School.
- Submit your supporting documents (letters of reference, vita, and writing samples) to Lisa Adkins (see below).
Once you complete the online application and submit your transcripts and GRE scores, the Graduate School will send your application to our department (Julie Schenk). If we have your supporting documents, we will contact you for an interview. If we do not have your supporting documents, then we will ask you to complete the application process.
