School of Architecture & Community Design

The School of Architecture and Community Design emphasizes study abroad with travel incorporated into the studio curriculum. Students get the opportunity to examine the architecture and community design of other countries through these summer and semester-long studio classes.

London Summer Lab, Fall 2018 Studio

The London Summer Lab is a design-based education abroad program in London, England. This program works in collaboration with The Bartlett's Development Planning Unit at University College London (UCL), where research is done working towards socially just and sustainable developments.

Course Travel to the Netherlands, Spring 2019 Studio

This interdisciplinary innovation studio course titled With Water: Designing for a Flooded Future considers the impacts of sea level rise and storm force flooding in Hillsborough County. The course features a studio trip to Copenhagen, the Netherlands in association with Tu Delft, the Florida Center for Community Design and Research, and Hillsborough County.

Studio Florence, Summer 2019

The Studio Florence program is an intensive studio and field learning experience focusing on Italian culture, art, and architecture as it relates to contemporary design practices. The first part of the program/studio is located in Florence, Italy with our host institution, Florence University of the Arts with many scheduled field learning experiences throughout Italy, e.g., Rome, Venice, Siena, Verona, Vicenza, Lucca. Dates: May 13 â€“ 16: orientation class at Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬, followed by a one week optional independent travel period. May 25 – June 21: in Italy followed by a one-week optional independent travel. July 1 – August 2 program/studio at Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ for those taking program for architectural studio credit.

 

School of Art & Art History

The School of Art & Art History offers programs that allow immersive explorations of historical and contemporary art and culture in internationally significant cities for visual artists.

Art & Art History Summer Program in Paris

Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬'s longest-running study abroad program takes students for a month in Paris, France, where they can experience art by exploring the museums, galleries, architecture, streets, parks, and culture. A week-long excursion to either London, England or Venice, Italy is available each summer in addition to the month in Paris.

Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ in London

Join Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ students and faculty this summer for a four week experience in the heart of London all while earning Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ direct credit towards your degree program. Courses taught for School of Art & Art History credit are: ARH3001: Introduction to Art (Instructor: Wendy Babcox) and ART2930: Between the Eyes: Photography in the City (Instructor: Wendy Babcox). This program is organized through Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Education Abroad.

Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ in Florence

Spend a full semester or a summer term at the Florence University of the Arts (FUA) in one of the world's most noted cities for the arts and architecture. This program is organized through Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Education Abroad.

Exeter Summer School, United Kingdom

Art & Art History students can enroll in the International Summer School at the University of Exeter, studying one of our accredited pathways, while earning Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ college credit for courses in arts and humanities subjects. This program is organized through Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Education Abroad.

 

School of Music

The School of Music encourages its students to participate in international performances to broaden their experiences as practicing musicians.

Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Jazz Ensemble Performance Tour in the UK

Open to members of the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Jazz Ensemble for performing opportunities in Birmingham, Cheshire, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, and Northampton, United Kingdom.

 

School of Theatre & Dance

The School of Theatre and Dance has semester-long and summer opportunities for students to study and perform abroad. These programs help students gain new insights about the performing arts on the world stage.

Full-Semester Dance in Paris Program

The full-semester program is an expansion of the summer program, providing additional opportunities for dance majors and minors to study in Paris, France.

Summer Dance in Paris Program

This four-week program is an opportunity for serious dancers to take classes, see performances, live in, and experience Paris, France, one of the world's greatest cities from a dancer's point of view.

Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Paris Theater Program

During their four-week stay in Paris, students will grow and develop as theater artists in classes and rehearsal studio. As artists they will drawn inspiration from the art and culture of Paris to create an original piece of theater.

Exeter Summer School, United Kingdom
