Permit Types
S Permits ()
This permit is only available for non-resident students. Non- resident students are those individuals who live off campus.
- Provides access to any lot or garage area assigned the letter "S", which matches the letter on the permit. View Map
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "S" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- "S" permits are also valid in student lots in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
- Available by the academic year or semester.
R Permits ()
This permit is only available for resident students. Resident students are those individuals who have an active Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ housing contract.
- Provides access to any lot or space assigned the letter "R", which matches the letter on the permit. View Map
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "R" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- Students with "R" permits are encouraged to use the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Bull Runner to have convenient access to class, the library, and on-campus recreational activities.
- Available by the academic year or semester.
- "R" permits are also valid in student lots in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
E Permits ()
This permit is only available for employees with a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ faculty/ staff or affiliate appointment.
- Valid in any lot or space designated "E". View Map
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "E" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- "E" permits are also valid in staff lots in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
- Available by the academic year or semester.
GZ Permits ()
Only employees, faculty/staff or affiliates can purchase GZ permits. All gold zone "GZ" parking areas are considered prime parking and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability of spaces in GZ areas is usually limited and permits are assigned through a waitlist.
- Current permit holders are automatically placed on the appropriate waitlist and approved for renewal as long as the permit is purchased by the first Friday in September. Permits not renewed by the deadline will be assigned to the next person on the list.
- Employees with an interest in obtaining a GZ permit for the first time should request placement on the appropriate waitlist through their .

GZ1 – Collins Boulevard Garage "GZ" areas
GZ2 – Lot 2 "GZ" areas
GZ8 – Beard Garage "GZ" areas
GZ9 - Lot 9A "GZ" areas
GZ33 – Lots 30 & 33 "GZ" areas
GZ36 – Lot 36 "GZ" areas
GZ42 – Laurel Garage "GZ" areas
AG33 - Lots 30 & 33 "GZ" areas ONLY
AG42 - Laurel Garage "GZ" areas ONLY
- GZ permit holders have access to all Gold Zone areas (with the exception of GZ9) and all "E" and "Y" designated areas. AG33 and AG42 permits are only valid in their designated area.
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "GZ" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- "GZ" permits are also valid in staff lots in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
- Available by the academic year only.
- Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬SP Gold Employee permits can park in all "GZ" lots (except GZ9), and all "E" designated lots on the Tampa campus.
Reserved Parking ()
This permit is only available for employees with a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ faculty, staff or administration appointment. Reserved spaces are reserved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year round, for the exclusive use of the permit holder.
How to apply
- Complete the Reserved Parking Request form.
- Email approved form to psweb@usf.edu.
- A representative will contact you to arrange the selection of the preferred space location. View Map.
About the reserved space
- Reserved permit owners may only occupy the space assigned to them.
- Available by the academic year only.
- Reserved permits are also valid in any "E", "GZ", "D" and "Y" lots.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "Reserved" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- Reserved parking permits are also valid in staff lots in the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
Y Permits ()
This permit is available to students, employees, and some affiliates as a cost saving option that allows parkers to utilize Park-N-Ride lots 18 and 43 and use the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Bull Runner to get to their destination.
- Provides access to lots assigned the letter "Y", which matches the letter on the permit.. View Map
- Lot 43 is located between Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Laurel Drive and Fletcher Ave.
- Lot 18 is located between the Athletics area and 50th Street.
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
- After 9:00 PM and on weekends, with a valid "Y" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid..
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- "Y" permits are valid in lot 11 on the St. Pete campus, but are not valid on the Sarasota campus.
- Available by the academic year only.
Alumni ()
This permit is available for individuals who graduated from Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ and have an active membership with the Alumni Association. This permit is not available for anyone who has an active appointment as a Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ employee, is an affiliate employee, or is registered for classes.
- Only valid in "Y" designated lots between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM. View Map
- Lot 43 is located between Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ Laurel Drive and Fletcher Ave.
- Lot 18 is located between the Athletics area and 50th Street.

- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid Alumni permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.

- "Y" permits are not valid on the St. Petersburg and Sarasota campuses.
- Available as a yearly permit only.
Retiree Permits ()
This permit is only available for individuals who retired from Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ and do not have an active appointment.
- Valid in any lot designated "E". View Map

Motorcycle ()
Motorcycle owners may purchase a permit for their motorcycle and their regular vehicle.
- Permits are valid in "Motorcycle" designated areas. View Map
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
- Available as a yearly permit only.
- Holders of motorcycle permits are entitled to a maximum of five (5) days, annually, of temporary parking permits for four-wheeled vehicles.
Visitor/Daily VISITOR()
Daily parking can be purchased through our . These permits:
- Offer the convenience of purchasing from any internet enabled device with printer capabilities.
- Are valid for 1 day only and can be purchased up to 14 days in advance.
- Provides access to all "D" designated lots on the Tampa Campus. View Map
- Includes a Bull Runner daily bus pass.
- Many "D" designations are located in "mixed use" lots; please be sure that you are not parking in a labeled or reserved space. All labeled and reserved spaces are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.
Parking Pay Stations (Not Available Online)

Friends of Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ ()
This permit is available to visitors only. Students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and vendors do not qualify for this visitor permit. This permit is convenient for visitors who come to the Tampa campus on a regular basis.
- Valid in any lot designated "D" in the Tampa Campus only. View Map
- This is a cost saving option for visitors parking more than 55 times in a year.
- Restricted to the parking location that matches the letter designation, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday.
- After 5:30 PM and on weekends, with a valid "D" permit, permit designations are lifted and meters and Timed Spaces do not have to be paid.
- All labeled and reserved spaces, including "R" lots, are restricted for their intended use at all times, 24/7.

Carpool (Not Available Online)
Carpool permits are offered as part of Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬'s "Green Initiative." These permits only available for students and faculty/staff who sign up to participate in this program. Please read the Car Pool Policy for complete information about the program's benefits, registration, and restrictions.
