Students: Welcome to the 2022 Fall Semester

Dear Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ students,

I am delighted to welcome you to the start of the 2022 fall semester at the University of South Florida!

As the first Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ graduate to serve as president, I can’t express strongly enough how much I enjoyed my time as a student at this great university. I encourage you to get involved in the many events taking place on our three beautiful campuses during Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬â€™s Week of Welcome and of course, our this fall!

With classes beginning and campus activities in full swing, I invite you to stay connected with me on and . I’ll be sharing updates and highlights from across our community that showcase why Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ is the best place to learn, work and grow. When you see me around campus, please feel free to come say hello, take a photo, and tag me if you post it on social media.

This is a particularly exciting time at Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ – a vibrant period of growth with new cutting-edge programs and additional state-of-the-art facilities. Our university’s momentum has helped position us to break several all-time records:

  • This fall, we expect to enroll our largest class of first-year students.
  • More than 65,000 prospective students applied to Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ – that’s 15,000 more than last year and the most ever at our university.
  • With nearly 7,500 students packing our residence halls, it’s the most students we’ve ever had living on our campuses.

Opportunities for learning abound at Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬, and I hope that you will explore everything that our diverse and inclusive community has to offer. I wish you all the best as you settle in for the start of the semester.

In Bull Pride,

Rhea Law
Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ President
