Dr. Jenifer Hartman began her career as an educator in the public K-12 system, serving
as both a teacher and an administrator. Throughout her career she has focused on
equitable student access and opportunity to learn. Her research interests include
K-12 to university administration collaborations which aim to foster success in students,
and culturally responsive educational leadership. Prior to joining the University
of South Florida, she served as the Director of Practice-Based Research in San Antonio,
Texas, on federal government contract to conduct educational research for state education
commissioners.
She has collaborated with Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬'s Online Learning and Instructional Technology Services
(OLITS), a resource that supports online faculty teaching and assists in the development
of courses and course materials, and published an article on how to translate interpersonal
skills and the theoretical framework of face-to-face courses into effective and engaging
online courses.
