Dr. Amanda Thalji-Raitano is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School Psychology program at the University of South Florida and a licensed psychologist (PY# 9857). She is an alumna of the University of South Florida’s School Psychology program, obtaining her doctorate in 2012, with an area of emphasis in school-based mental health. Dr. Thalji-Raitano's career spans public schools, residential training programs, and private outpatient settings. She has also served as an instructor for undergraduate courses at Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ and as an adjunct instructor for the School Psychology program.
As a school psychologist for Hillsborough County Schools, she collaborated with school personnel and families to develop, implement, and evaluate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional programs within a multi-tiered system of support. She also conducted comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, provided individual and group counseling services, and consulted with families and community agencies to promote student wellbeing and success.
As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Thalji-Raitano developed mental health prevention services and provided small-group and individual counseling at Job Corps Center, a residential educational and technical training program for teens and young adults. She also collaborated with instructors, medical staff, and community agencies to support trainees' social-emotional and behavioral success. Additionally, she has worked as a clinician in private outpatient settings, assisting individuals and families with various academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns.
