Sarah Guadalupe, Ph.D., LMSW, is an Instructor and Field Coordinator at the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ School of Social Work Sarasota-Manatee campus. She received her BSW ('01) and MSW (‘02) from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and her Ph.D. (’20) in Early Childhood Education from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
Dr. Guadalupe is a Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan and has worked as a social worker in various settings including emergency departments, a crisis intervention center, and at a public school district. Further, Dr. Guadalupe has experience working in higher education having served in an administrative role as Director of Disability Support Services at a public university, and as an adjunct faculty member in the fields of social work and education. She served as vice chair on the board of directors for Oakland Community Health Network, a community mental health service provider in Michigan.
Research Interests: The impact of culture on the identification and treatment of autism spectrum disorder, Mother-child relationships in the context of a cancer diagnosis during pregnancy and Understanding career development pathways of college students with disabilities.
