Breun Belcher-Roemmich, LCSW is an Assistant Instructor in the Å·ÃÀÈý¼¶Æ¬ School of Social Work. She has a BS in Psychology from the University of Florida (‘99) and an MSW from the University of South Florida (‘05). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida.
In her post-MSW career, she has worked in child welfare settings in intervention support services for children and adolescents. She spent six years working in targeted and child-specific adoption recruitment with foster children in Hillsborough County, Florida. Her work in field education and teaching began in 2011 and these experiences solidified that her next path in social work would be through teaching and research. She has taught various courses in both BSW and MSW programs.
Her clinical experiences continue to inspire pursuits and interests related to evidence-informed practices in foster care and adoption that are most responsive to the needs of children and families. She is committed to and passionate about working with students and field instructors to ensure every field placement is successful and conducive to each student’s overall learning and growth. As an active-duty military spouse, she also has a personal understanding of the challenges military families face.
