The School of Aging Studies faculty, staff, and students shared their latest research with the gerontology community and learned about the exciting new work being done by colleagues in the field at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Annual Scientific Meeting in Seattle. The group enjoyed spending time together and catching up with alumni and former faculty.
Natalia Babenko, MPH, MS, CPH, a PhD student in the School of Aging Studies, was awarded the Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization Poster Award from GSA and PhD student Khunza Asma was selected as a recipient of the GSA Diversity Mentoring and Career Development Technical Assistance Workshop Diversity Fellow Award provided by the GSA with support from the National Institute on Aging.
Conference attendees were able to visit the booth to learn more about the school's research and academic programs, pick up some freebies, and participate in a raffle for prizes.
