Holly Drive Collective Shines at Musikfest and Beyond
The Holly Drive Collective, a creative collaborative network student ensemble at College of The Arts at the University of South Florida made waves at , one of the nation's longest-running music festivals in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The group's performance, featuring a blend of rap, rock, hip hop, R&B, and metal showcased their original music and talent.
Beyond their impressive 90-minute performance, the Collective's impact extended to academic circles. Clint Randles, Professor of Music Education and Contemporary Commercial Music, presented alongside members of the group at the inaugural Music Industry Education conference, held as part of Musikfest.
The Collective also took time to explore other cultural and educational opportunities, including stops in Washington, D.C., and the renowned Martin Guitar Factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. These experiences provided invaluable insights into the music industry and the broader cultural landscape.
About The Holly Drive Collective
The Holly Drive Collective is an eclectic group of musicians who perform original music that runs the gamut of popular music-hip-hop, rock, folk, and R&B seasoned with some homegrown soul and funk. The Collective is made up of members of the University of South Florida's Contemporary Commercial Music program, various vocal and instrumental studios within the School of Music, and professional musicians in an around Tampa Bay. They share songs, ideas, and inspiration through their live performances and recordings.
