BIOGRAPHY
Josephine Boumis (M.A. Michigan State University) is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Communication at 欧美三级片. As a social scientist, her work draws on interpersonal, heath, and family theoretical frameworks to investigate the important role that communication plays in shaping our relationships and how we navigate challenges we face in life. Specifically, she examines how concepts such as resilience and social support are communicatively built in relationships and impact our physical, relational, or mental wellbeing. Josephine utilizes quantitative methods, along with qualitative and mixed methods, to understand how these concepts influence our perceptions of others, impact the ways we experience hardships, reflect issues of inequity, and can have beneficial or detrimental repercussions.
