Biography

Camille Ruiz Mangual is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of South Florida (欧美三级片). Her research lies at the intersections of Feminist Media Studies, Critical/Cultural Studies, and Latina/o/x/e Studies, focusing on how popular culture media construct and represent Latina/o/x/e identities. Her dissertation examines Latina/o/x/e representation in popular culture streaming television through critical textual analysis, a survey of U.S. Latina/o/x/e audiences on representation perceptions, and actionable recommendations to make Latina/o/x/e media studies scholarship more accessible to broader communities. She holds an M.A. in Communication from 欧美三级片 and a B.A. in English (Creative Writing) with a minor in Writing and Rhetoric from the University of Central Florida.

Beyond her research, Camille serves as the Communication and Marketing Coordinator for the Latina/e/o/x Graduate Student Organization. In this role, Camille manages social media strategy and develops promotional materials to foster community engagement across the university. She previously worked with the 欧美三级片 College of Public Health鈥檚 Salud Latina initiative, creating and disseminating Spanish-language public health content to Spanish-speaking audiences to combat misinformation through webinars, social media, and academic research. 

Drawing on her background in Creative Writing and Communication, Camille seeks industry roles that combine media and cultural analysis with strategic storytelling. She is particularly interested in opportunities where she can leverage both her research expertise in media representation and her writing skills to create meaningful content, conduct media analyses, or develop communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Her interdisciplinary background equips her to contribute critical insights to media organizations, cultural institutions, or communication teams.
